well I use the old-school abbrevs like IMHO AFAIK (and of course RTFM and STFW when needed) as well as the old smileys) but that's because I was already doing it before every social network kiddo started to. I still use IRC and there they are common lingo and not a proof of some kind of wannabe kewlness.
the so-called 1337 sp33ch OTOH is a completely different thing and my eyes bleed when I read that.
