That's funny, most vegans I've met respect other people enough to not preach where it's not wanted. Just like any other group, it's the loud fanatical ones who're heard most, to the detriment of anyone within shouting distance.

But yes, to have a healthy vegan diet you do have to pay very close attention to what you eat. The main concerns are a few of the essential amino acids and some vitamins (B12 comes to mind) and minerals. I certainly couldn't manage to maintain a vegan diet.m A healthy vegetarian diet is no more difficult than a healthy omnivorous diet.
