I am recommending the NC to everyone with the caveat that you must root in order to get more than just an e-reader, that rooting is very easy, and that you get what you pay for so no apps that use a camera, GPS or a microphone.

I am not expecting much from the B&N app store. While they chose to have an Android based machine rather than come up with something proprietary, I don't think they are totally comfortable being compared to the tablets that are coming out.
