Nope, does not happen here.
Not that it would matter much if it did (even though of course it would be a bug, for sure!), cause I always set my own tags. So yes, you can overwrite tags, at least manually. I don't know if that's what you're asking though. I get the feeling you want it done automatically, and that I have no clue about, being pretty much a beginner.
