I'm very very confused by DRM - and so reckon it should gotten rid of. But, the plublishers may not change that, and I'm happy to buy DRM ebooks at reasonable prices (marginally lower than PB prices typically interests me).
I really cannot fathom if I can get linux to download a DRM ebook, connect to a PRS505 (which I'm shortlisting as a Reader) and install the book. Until I'm certain I can do this, it's a Kindle, but not so keen on being pretty much locked to a single vendor.
So, I can use Calibre, I have managed to install Adobe Digital Editions (eventually) with WINE, but without a Reader, I cannot tell if I could purchase an ebook and copy it to my prospective reader.
Any advice or stories regarding this would be great.

Please just keep it to ebook purchasing and linux ebook management - this is a real deal-breaker potential for me with epub-based ereaders in general...
