or anything of the like? The last official comment on the Nook Developers board seems to have been back in 2010, and I'm honestly not able to recommend this unit to any friends who might want more functionality but who are also nervous about rooting it.
When this first started, B&N had several announcements about their store, but lately they seemed to have pretty well dropped off the map about it, and it's a bit discouraging.
