Why buy a stationary bike when you can ride a real bicycle? The gym rats will disagree, but I find that riding a bicycle outside is way more fun than sitting like a hamster on a wheel in your spare room, kindle or no.
At any rate, you can buy a trainer for your regular bike, converting it into a stationary bike when the weather is bad. Enjoy the best of both worlds.
