I'm actually went back to png file since it displays slightly clearer picture than pdf. But I'm still not satisfied with the quality of the picture haven't found out a way to trim whitespace around left and right column.
Does anyone know how to trim left and right column and what's the best format for viewing image on Kindle?

I see. that's why you need Duokan. it's been designed for pdfs and manga viewing. if you use it you won't need to convert to pdf as it suffers from none of those problems.
it's really no problem to install, you won't regret it if you read allot of manga.
