One more thought, the Kobo broke into mainstream USA as an eReader device that Borders pushed. Therefore the Kobo to most consumers associate it with Borders, thats just the way it is.
Oddly enough I looked around the Borders in our local mall last night and couldn't see an eReader anywhere, just a couple of cases. No display stands nothing.
