Yup,. that's what I thought I wrote. Nice changes but I don't see a really compelling reason to get on if you already have a iPad 1. However is you do have an iPad 1 I'm not sure the iPad 2 will make the person happier because the speed of the iPad 1 seems fine, for now running the current version of iOS. That said, the next iteration of iOS might well need the extra horsepower under the hood. Nobody knows.
But as I pointed out none of the current devices really blow-my-skirt-up. It's not the fault of the device makers or anything as it takes time to build a new platform, it's OS as well as for developers to get creative (really there are only a handful of iOS apps that are actually more than a curiosity. Then again I don't need fancy media players, games or a lot of video support. It's going to be an interesting year and if someone were to ask my advice I would say that for other than enthusiasts like yourself there is nothing that compelling in anything, yet. Let it mature a little while longer.
And until the content issue around iTunes the only people I would say should spend on an iOS device are those who will not use any other platform in the future. And with Jobs' heath the issue I might even hedge that a bit as well.

Agree, if a person could get a wifi iPad 1 for about $350-$400 it's likely to be a bad device but just how fast is Apple going to turn it into a coaster or "snack tray" with their new versions of iOS?
