I would not compare a Nook Color against an iPad. if you are comparing as a pure ereader, which of course are not, both are tablets, an iPad provides a better reading experience: bigger screen and no need to hack.

And Android is not a toy Os. Based on your comment, it looks like you have not used it extensively. Android is based in Linux and is much more stable and faster than Windows out of the box; is the same kernel, but the UI is optimized for tablets. The only thing I can't do on Android that I can on Windows is running and administer my SQL databases, the rest...everything... Ohh... Forgot to mention, Netflix.
