The Amazon Kindle Publishing Guidelines (
http://kindlegen.s3.amazonaws.com/Am...Guidelines.pdf) talks about two types of "covers", the "marketing" and "internal" covers.
The marketing cover is what we see on the Amazon page. They specify this as being "a JPEG image of 600 x 800 pixels." They also go on to say that if this cover is smaller than 500 pixels on the smallest side, it will be ignored.
The internal cover is the one we see in the book itself. They don't give an actual size, but merely say "Amazon QA will fail the book if the cover is too small, so a large cover must be obtained."
Thanks for that clear specification, Amazon.
Any suggestions for the best size for that internal cover?
