I recently got one of these cheap & cheerful book-readers, which I returned because it had an odd pair of faults - The Dictionary function didn't give you the meaning of words in English - it translated them into Spanish !
The mp3 Music player function plays music, but at twice normal speed (as if the fast-forward button has been pressed - if there was one)
The firmware update from Elonex doesn't fix the problem.
The replacement machine has the same quirks. Talking to the retailer - Waterstones UK, they say the Spanish thing is a known fault and that Elonex are working on it... They hadn't heard about the other fault.
So if anyone out there is puzzled & suffering, wait for the next firmware update, whenever that is.
