Enkidu, to answer your question, it's not like people want to post pictures of their cats. Cats are very possessive and force their pets to post pictures of their master so that no one messes with their investment. After all, it can take years to train a good human, to get her to pet the right way, to buy the right food, to sleep in the right position, to respond to their calls promptly and politely, to buy the right toys. Having a picture up at all times also makes the human less likely to stray.
