NEW FLASH you can only use Apple products on Apple products. micro usb I can use it on my nook, my wifes blackberry, my sansa clip, my Droid X. versatility.

If I leave my charger behind and I'm at my friends house and even if he doesn't own a Droid X I coudl still use his micro UBS to charge or to transfer data
