About 30 seconds after clicking "Output Settings", Calibre crashes. the Calibre-debug log contained the above (spoiler) message.

heading over to the location:
the named file does not exist in the directory
There are a bunch of Calibre... folders there (sample attached).
All are similar, all have the same worker log messages.
