I have been an ebook fan for years. In 2000,
I had two Rocket books from GemStar. Most of that
year was spent in the hospital, and being the Rocket
was backlit, it was a great companion for the long
nights. It held only a handful of books, so as
I would read through one batch, my friends would
load up the second book and bring it in to me. What a
treat! I never knew what books would be waiting for me
and the surprise was as great as the reading.

As the availability of books became scarce for the Rocket,
I eventually picked up a Sony Reader. It is lighter and
holds many more books, and goes with me wherever I go.

Many thanks to those who directed me to this site and
for the encouragement I received to introduce myself.
Being in the midst of ebook enthusiasts makes me feel as
if I am in the midst of friends.
