TG - As I recall, the original Kobo, up thru rev. 1.4 kept everything in the sqlite database and did not remove entries from the database when the epub file was deleted or changed. You could force a new entry by changing the file name, or use Calibre to delete the database entry for the original book. I'm not sure if software versions 1.7 and 1.8 have the same problem, but I think Calibre can still delete database entries. Then reload your book with its modified CSS.
