This is great, if your eyes will focus close enough to your face. In practice my 40 year old eyes work best if a book is at least 12-18" away from my face; 2 feet is even better. In fact, unless one is near sighted, I expect most people don't necessarily prefer to hold their books 6" from their face.
Hey, for all you out there that prefer to read on smart phones and PDAs, that is great. Lets just remember that smart phones and PDAs can't offer the same reading experience that a dedicated e-Paper based reader can. Some of us, indeed, I would say many of us, prefer that experience. We might like having the books available to us on our smart phones in case we want to read when we don't have our book readers available, but when we settle in for an or two of reading, we will want our dedicated readers every time. You guys aren't wrong for your preference, but the rest of us would see the end of e-Paper based readers as a real loss.
