When it comes to Mac it seems there is a problem with recognizing at least the newer Sony models. Fear not! If you authorize the reader in Sony's software it should work anyway. When I authosrize i Reader Library there is an option "authorize with Adobe ID" or something similar. Once authorized with the Adobe ID ADE is no longer needed.
