I own a new Kindle 3 wifi with 3.1 on it, and I'm distinctly non-techy. If I install a hack, it will be for the first time - nothing's been previously installed (or uninstalled).

I'm keen to install the hacks (solely for the screensavers, I don't really care about the fonts) - but the reports of difficulties are making my head spin, and I'm wondering if it's too risky at this point. I'd rather look at Scary Emily Dickinson and Scary Mark Twain than not have a functioning Kindle.

If I'm being overly cautious, please let me know.
