Hmm, let me put it this way. These things do not install themselves on a new iPad on their own ...

Anyway, here is what you could do:

Reset the iPad so that its in its factory state. Install the ibook application. Then turn off the network connection. Put all the distracting things on the screen into one folder. Call the folder "do not open". Then you only have a folder that tells you not to open it and ibooks.

There you go. End of distraction ....
