Now I see the simple logic of draining factor of notebook batteries.
In the mean time, I have been shutting down the reader after every each time finish reading it. Astonishingly, it lasted more than a week, with one bar on the screen. Thus, I now see, Sony, as a complex gadget should be shut down, for longer life span.
