I've just been informed that my novel, based solely on the 'pitch' I submitted, has made it through the first round of judging.

I didn't even tell any of my friends that I had entered this, because I didn't expect anything to come of it, so I am both surprised and delighted.

The next round is based on a 5,000 word excerpt, and if it makes it that far, the last round will be based on the entire work.

I received much help from this board, so I wanted all of you to know.
