We rented a couple of containers from P.O.D.S. (a wonderful system, by the way, and I'll never move any other way again) They told us not to worry about how much we put in there; the weight limits were just "advisory" and it was almost impossible to overload one. Well, when the first container -- the one with all the books in it -- got here, they nearly sprained their forklift taking it off the truck. Apparently you can overload the things, and putting in 70+ cartons of books (I stopped counting at 70, but there were a lot more) will do it.
And that's not counting the books we gave away, the books we sold, and the dozens of boxes of books in the storage.
I think I have too many books.
