Generally, by bag day, all the good stuff (or at least what other people think is good stuff) is gone. That doesn't mean you can't find a bag full of things worth reading. Which doesn't help the shelving situation.

I just counted. We have 23 shelving units. 24, when we build the one we just got in a flatpack. A place to sit, a place to sleep, a place to park the computers, a place to stow our underwear ... and dozens and dozens of shelves. Thousands of books.

Then I think of the numbers I've seen for how few books people buy, and realize that I alone am using up a score of people's book quotas.
