Oh, is there a trade in program for previous generations? I imagine that mine is probably too old for it... especially since it's already a refurbished unit (plus, I managed to crack the screen... still works fine, so not a big deal). If I remember correctly, I paid around $100-$150 for my 2nd generation, so there is quite a bit of sticker shock over the price of a 4th generation. It's not like I *need* a new one--I just think it'd be nice to have the camera, especially if it gets an upgrade in the next generation--so I'm willing to wait either for the price to drop or for a non-phone, non-3G Android device to come out.
