I've got an iPhone, an iPad and two Sony's. My iPhone is good for small time browsing, checking email, GPS and a bunch of other things, and although I carry a full supply of books on it I don't read off of it unless I don't have a Sony with me.
The iPad is cool too, and I even have my favorite program on it, but I don't use it for reading anymore. Tried it for a while, but in the end I feel like I'm still looking down the head of a flashlight trying to read the text. I can do it for a while, but not for serious reading.
If I'm going to sit down for more than a few minutes, I want one of my Sony's. eInk makes a *huge* difference for me when it comes to comfort, and longer battery life is a plus.
I don't even have to think about it anymore. I know what I'm going to reach for when it's story time.
