Anyway, based on what you stated above, I interpret it to mean that you're traveling light. If it were me, I'd take my Kindle 3 WiFi and my iPod touch 4. Personally, I see no need for 3G, since free WiFi is readily available anywhere in the States where there's a public library, McDonald's, or Starbucks.

The K3 has fantastic battery life and would be my ereader of choice; and the touch will easily handle all of your email, social, mapping, directions, and other traveling needs.
