Post Getting Started - Automated Processes and Best Practices

I've been wandering about this forum for a bit, collecting this and that bits of info and I'm astonished by how much people have done for the Sony Reader!!

I'm getting one myself in a few days (505) and am trying to work out the best ways to handle my data when I get it.

Like many of you, I have info in all sorts of formats and have a few questions.

I've been playing with libprs500 and have been really impressed by it. Is there, however, any sort of "when converting a file like X use these settings" established? I've been kind of just trying things out and getting mixed results.

Also, regarding PDFs - the "scale" issue is certainly a pain. Has anyone worked out a way around this (modifying the gutter space or converting the text somehow?)

Regarding downloading the news feeds in libprs500 - I'm on a Mac, but I plan on using parallels with windows for much of my work with my reader - how do I go about setting things up to automatically grab the NY Times, Book Review, and BBC feeds and having them ready when I get up? I understand I can probably automate a script for this, can someone provide me with the details?

And last, but not least, have best practices been established for converting text from Gutenberg and sites such as ebooks@Adelaide? I'm sure I can get it in the reader, but I'm kind of interested in the most efficient/effective ways of doing this.

Thanks so much for your time. I look forward to being part of this community.
