As much as I love my Sony 350, I doubt I can expect a whole lot of support here in Sweden for a US bought device. Buying stuff in US and take back here is fine as long as you're aware that you're more or less on your own once you've made it to this side of the pond. If support and warranty is important, buying in USA is not a great option.

The brand (Sony) is represented here though, so at least there is a change of getting it repaired, should it break, although probably at own expense (probably not making it worth getting done). That could be troublesome with a Nook (or a Kindle), that's true.

The Sony is very user friendly, so probably not much need for "in-house support" (tech savvy family member, the OP). How user friendly the Nook is I don't know.

Such a pity the 650 isn't available, cause I think it would have been such a great choice!
