Connection problems with Kindle

The problem is that it won't connect to wi-fi or 3G. I have no connection problems with my cell phone (an LG TracFone). All the connection bars show up full on it.

I live in area code 04736. According to the link on Amazon for 3G coverage I live in a 3G network area.
