What is 'darth'? Do you mean death? They are not dead. There is a shortage and that's all. The fact they were sold like crazy before Christmas is just showing how damn good they are!

I fail to see the good value for the money with the Kindle. The are e-ink readers. The aren't good looking, the functions are somewhat awkward to get to, three buttons to click to lookup a word in the dictionary ASFIK, no possibility to check out Library books without breaking or at least stretching the law.

For what a Kindle is able to do, a Kobo is far better value. Library access that will save you a fortune over time and cheaper, too.

If I were the one to decide now, I would either wait or search high and low to get a Sony, check into the Singapore Library with it 20000 up-to-date books and be happy as one can be, tapping my little touchscreen trying to find out what 'dearth' could mean...
