I will try reading main memory only and see how it improves. Out of curiosity, is the memory drain only from having a SD card book loaded? If I only read off the internal memory but still have the SD card plugged in, would it make a differece

I'd like the answer to that, too. I bought my Sony Reader PRS-505 in Nov. and I've never gotten more than 3 or 4 days of use without recharging. I have the AC charger, but I don't want to read with that. The Reader is supposed to be portable...not tied to a wall outlet.
I have a 1 GB memory card and read off that. I deleted the internal contents. Is that part of the problem?
