Agreed -- I've tried two highly rated styluses (recommended by others for the nook color) and not been able to sketch reliably. Simple swiping often works, just not drawing/sketching types of dragging.

This youtube video shows the problem -- there are gaps in drawn lines making it not useful to use for these purposes.
