Three battery changes in one day? It would be more typical to go three days between
battery changes. There was a thread awhile back where I ran some tests of the
performance of rechargeable batteries and you should be getting between 25 and 30
hours, of reading time, from standard rechargeable NiMH batteries.
You can power the JBL using a USB cable. A common USB device power adapter would
work fine and if your PC remains powered/plugged in, when it is turned off, most are set
so the USB ports remain powered.
Calibre has an Output Profile for the "jetBook 5-inch", you might want to use that.
