I think his point was that compared to the Kindle and the Nook, no one (at least in the USA, which may or may not apply to your comment) really knew/knows about the Kobo, and he's main point was also correct, the Nook came down in price first, then Kindle matched it a few days later. That was the driving force behind the Kindle price drop.
