Is there a good video like this but for 3.0? And is it worth it?

Great video! However, is there one for 3.0 that is just as good and just as step by step?

Also, what are the differences between 3.0 and 2.12.25? Should I just follow the instructions on the video or should I go with 3.0 though I can't find really good step by step instructions.
