To bump up an old thread! I couldn't agree more because I've had the same problem since I also downloaded the software update, and now it just synchs for ever without downloading anything. Plus I can't seem to get anything from W H Smith either as their software isn't compatible with Windows...Am seriously thinking of getting a Kindle for ease of downloading. The only thing stopping me is what do I do about the books I've bought for the Sony?!
