Pandigital's instructions tell you to hold the vol+ and power keys for 5 second and the tablet will flash itself. That's not quite right. That will get you to the "power-down" prompt.
When you power up, hold the vol+ and Power for 30 seconds, you should see a box and android.
About half way through it will try to power up again into the Pandigital paper. Hold the vol+ and power for another 30 seconds during this reboot, and it will finish the flash.
You should see the new Linux-like desktop when you have completed the process successfully.
This more complex process is probably a good thing, since you are less likely to accidentally try to flash while your on a low battery.
