Welcome to the Forum. I just got a Sony 5065 and really like it. Have done a lot of reading on my iPaq but the 505 is far superior.
I decided on the 505 in part because of cost and got it at 40% off as it was a window display at the local Sony store.
Another way I justified the cost was the low power use. The 505 is always available whereas my iPaq is a power hog and if I'm not near a recharger, can't use it much.
