Yup, we know how that goes (nudge nudge, wink wink)!

Seems like devices like the iPad (or larger versions thereof) would be great for "coffee table book apps," and you might even consider apps like "The Elements" to be close to it. But outside the app store, the only other thing that comes to mind are the CD or DVD collections of magazines (in PDF format, usually) that you can download to your device and read at your leisure.

Of course, if you're looking for cool digital pictures for your coffee table, it might not be that hard to collect pics on your own, organize a gallery, and drop them into a slideshow program.
