I concur. I like the overall Kindle reading experience but there definitely can be a huge glare - even making the reading impossible - under certain angles. Even worse, these problematic angles are exactly those angles under which the screen would be lit (close to) evenly. Some clever guys explained to me that it is impossible to get a bright, evenly lit screen without a glare. Whatever is the case, Amazon should certainly not advertise 'no glare' or book like reading experience as that is simply not true. This was probably the biggest disappointment after I received my Kindle, fortunately, it was overweighted by many pluses of the device
