The '../' means look up a level, directory wise, then followed by the 'Images/' means to look in that sub-directory, for the <filename>.
When using Sigil, you need the ../ as the files are arranged into subfolders determined by their types, Images|Text|Styles etc.
Sigil automagically arranges them and alters corresponding paths etc. for you.
