Well, apparently I have a very plebian palate. I love Lipton's blackberry flavored black tea (I'm drinking it now in lieu of diet Dr Pepper). I also love the pyramid bags of mandarin green tea (also that nasty L word). And this time it's not because I haven't tried anything else, the samplers from Adagio have been tried, and they're going neglected in my pantry (except for the Cream tea, which I like with milk and sugar). The samples that ProfCrash very nicely sent me were better than Adagio for flavor, and I've drank nearly all of the Oasis blend, but they still don't do anything more for me than Lipton. (sorry, sorry, mea culpa!)
Also a big fan of CS fruit blends when I don't want caffeine (which unfortunately is seldom), but have found I'm not a big fan of Rooibos. I'll try another flavor of that though, because I'm thinking it might have been the flavoring I didn't like, not the rooibos itself.
I would love to find a strongly flavored Peach black tea, but so far have had no luck. Everyone seems to blend it with mango, and I don't like mango with my peach.
I will say this, though - the whole experiment of "finding something hot I can drink in midwest winters" was a resounding success. I have a pantry full of tea - both cheap and not so cheap, and an array of flavors I like. I've also learned a ton about both tea and tisanes, brewing both, and acquired an appreciation for a refined tea palate (even though I don't seem to actually possess such palate!). I really enjoy reading y'all's reaction to new teas.
