The Nook Color does not have access to Android Market and its UI is locked. You need to hack the device (root it) in order to do that. B&N does not support such action and your warranty is voided if something happen (unlikely, but still possible) Out of the Box, the Nook Color PDF functionality is really poor: no re-flow, does not remember last page, no TOC.

I think you should take a look on one of the new tables, like Galaxy Tab or Motorola Xoom. iPad has a nice calendar too and is really good with PDFs, same for Galaxy Tab, and if you install Google Calendar app, you can sync your corporate Outlook calendar automatically across devices, really cool.

What I personally do not like of iPad is that they are not portable enough, but on the other hand, the screen size is perfect for large PDF documents. iPad do not have external ports, so keep that in mind.
