Hello All! I am new to this forum and I thought I would introduce myself, by way of my books. My name is Jack Wallen and I have authored the following:

Jamie Davenport and her partner Skip Abrahm, two of Louisville, Kentucky's finest, find themselves up against Lakme, a self-appointed messiah bringing his own special brand of salvation to one of Louisville's fringe societies. Driven to this course from childhood, Lakme wields his weapons with a purpose that is sure to undo an entire culture of citizens. A madman who views his victims with a compassion that drives him to inflict upon them "the change", Lakme is unaware of his brutality and the tragedy he leaves behind. Only Jamie and Skip can save the innocent victims that refuse to hide themselves from society and the killer who vows to save them from a life of shame and misery.

This is the first book in the "Fringe Killers" series that will pit our heroes up against killers seeking to take out the fringes of society.

Gothica
A killer from the past manages to escape the bonds of time and redefines "horror" for Jamie Davenport. Shero is the pride of SSH (Society of Super Heroes). Not only is he one of their best fighters, he's also the best dressed (in dresses and heels of course.) But when V.I.L.E. (Villains In League with Evil) plants the seeds of doubt and hate for Shero in the minds of the citizens, Shero is placed on inactive duty. But when SSH finds its back against a wall, Shero saves their hide from the shadows...a true hero.

Shero is the most unlikely of heroes on the surface. But once you get to know the man behind the mascara you understand that heros come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and genders. The Shero series offers up a humorous look into the world of super heroes, cross dressers, as well as human nature. With a narrator who is just as happy mouthing off as he/she is describing to the reader the action of the book, you will find yourself laughing at the situation, the attitude, and maybe even yourself.

Caution: You may find yourself yelling "You go girl!" which could certainly lead to public humiliation. You've been warned.

I Zombie I
Have you ever wanted to know what it was like to be transformed into one of the undead? In "I Zombie I" we follow journalist Jacob Plummer as he documents his plunge into the zombie abyss.

"I Zombie I" is a different take on the Zombie genre. Of course it has the usual bits and pieces that make up your standard zombie fare...but it does this from the perspective of a man, a journalist (Jacob Plummer), who has been infected and is transforming into one of the undead. Jacob realizes he might finally win the Pulizter that had eluded him all of his career by chronicling the transformation from man to zombie.

During his journey Jacob befriends a small group of people who attempt to survive the apocalypse in any way they can. One member of the group turns out to the be the man who created the virus that brought the planet to its knees.

Many twists and turns occur throughout I Zombie I...but the most important is the multi-layered transformation that Jacob undergoes. Not only does our protagonist transform from man to monster, he also becomes a hero.
