I tried the iPad Camera Connection kit with two 2nd generation iPod touch devices running (jailbroken) OS 4.0 and (regular) OS 4.2. No luck either way. Skype with video was my goal, too.

This was quite a disappointment considering that there is a camera connection kit for just a regular iPod.
