I can usually find just about any book I want illegally, what keeps me buying books is knowing that some author out there could use some compensation for his work. I've even resorted to finding the address of an author and mailing him a fin or tenner depending on how much enjoyment I got out of the book.
Alas, if only I had more disposable income =).
