Thanks for your interest in the book, and it is a "damn good read" I promise. The first 2 chapters are quite important for books 2-5 that I am in the process of writing, but not terribly important for Icarus as a stand alone book. if you get stuck, skip to chapter 3 as the main story starts there. Sorry to hear that you are only good at schlok, I think I know how you feel as I tried to play music for over a decade and sadly realized I have no talent for music. I compensated by purchasing a ridiculously expensive stereo and simply listen now adays.
